ACCORDING to the Myanmar Red Cross Society (MRCS), the First Aid Focal Person Review Meeting and the Risk Awareness and Safer Behaviours Training were jointly organized by the Myanmar Red Cross Society and the International Committee of the Red Cross at the Rose Garden Hotel in Mingala Taungnyunt Township, Yangon Region. The training was conducted in collaboration between the MRCS’s Department of First Aid and Risk Reduction and the ICRC, and took place from 25 to 27 June.
A total of 31 participants attended the training, including chairpersons, vice-chairpersons, and secretaries of Red Cross Supervisory Committees from Nay Pyi Taw, regions, and states, commanders of Red Cross brigades and township Red Cross societies as well as first aid focal persons.
The opening ceremony of the training was attended by the president and executives from the MRCS, the director and officials from the Department of First Aid and Risk Reduction, representatives from the ICRC and the International Federation of Red Cross and Red Crescent Societies (IFRC). — ASH/KNN
