The visiting First Lady of the Republic of Korea visited the University of Foreign Languages in Yangon yesterday afternoon.

Kim Jung-sook, the spouse of ROK’s President Moon Jae-in, was welcomed by Union Minister for Education Dr Myo Thein Gyi, Union Minister Dr Pe Myint’s wife Daw Khaing Nwe Oo, Yangon Region Chief Minister’s wife Daw Khin Mi Mi Kywe, Rector of YUFL Dr Kyi Shwin, Deputy Director-General of the Department of Higher Education and officials.

The Korean First Lady looked around the contesting wallposters of Korean language students at the university.
She then greeted the Korean language students at the Multimedia Lecture Room in LRC Hall.

U Aung Ko Ko Lat who graduated with Korean language, Mr Jang Young Sung who graduated with Myanmar language and Korean language students shared their experiences in learning the two languages.

A total of 500 students are attending graduate, postgraduate and diplomas courses at the Korean Department of YUFL.—MNA
