The opening ceremony of a fish farming course including the hatching technique took place at a State-owned hatchery in Thaton Township, Mon State this morning.
An official from the Department of Fisheries gave an opening address and launched the course, saying the purpose of the course. The course was conducted by the Department of Fisheries under the Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation. The course instructors will teach practical and theoretical training to the trainees. The three-day vocational training course is being attended by students from the University of Mawlamyine, fish breeders and those interested in fish farming.
Also present on the occasion were Pyithu Hluttaw Representative Daw Mar Mar Khaing, Amyotha Hluttaw Representative Dr. Zaw Lin Htut, Assistant Director of the General Administration Department U Kyaw Zaw and departmental staff.—Thet Oo (Thaton)
