As part of efforts to take preventative measures against Covid-19, officials from the township Development Committee and the township Public Health Department washed down and disinfected fish and meat markets in Myoma market in the township of Kangyidaunt, Pathein district, Ayeyarwady region yesterday afternoon.

Hand basins together with soaps are put in place for sellers and buyers in the market to wash their hands frequently to prevent from contracting coronavirus.

 In addition, with the cooperation from respective departments, campaigns to heighten people’s awareness of coronavirus are being organized consistently, according to U Hlaing Win Han, executive officer from the township Development Committee.—Nang Htike(KGD)
