No casualties were reported in a warehouse fire in Chanmya Thayar Ward, Pyigyidagun Township in Mandalay on 9 February, the Ministry of Home Affairs said.

The fire broke out at a warehouse for electronics at about 8 p.m. on 9 February, destroyed 10 motorbikes and one motorcar, and completely put out an hour later. Five firefighters received burn wounds in the incident which was believed to have started from an overheated wire and were sent to Mandalay General Hospital.

A woman named Ma Naing Naing Maw, 40, Manager of the warehouse is being questioned over fire negligence by the local police.—MOHA
