Five houses have been relocated to safe places in Ahtet Pegon Village in Wakhem Township,  Ayeyarwady Region because of erosion to the banks of Shwelaung River.

 “The banks 35 ft. in length and 20 ft. in width have been steadily eroded by the river. But no casualties were reported.

Local Police members, village Administrator and local people evacuated 25 People from five families to other places in the village.

There are reportedly 578 houses and 2519 population in Ahtet Pegon Village in Wakhema Township.—Saw Thandar Oo(Wakhema)
