Lashio, November 18

Five people who are currently placed under observation at a facility center and a hotel in Lashio, Northern Shan State tested positive for coronavirus, according to the township Covid-19 control and prevention committee.

“Three men from a facility quarantine center and two women were found to have been infected with the virus. All the virus-positive patients are currently put under observation and their movements are restricted. All local people are urged to stay home and wear the facial masks when going out,” said Township Administrator U Arkar Lin.

The virus-positive patients were admitted to Lashio Hospital by an ambulance from a local social organization.

Six patients have been diagnosed with the Covid-19 in the intensive care unit at Lashio Hospital, according to the township Covid-19 control and prevention committee.
