Five people who had close contact with the coronavirus-positive patients in Htantabin Township, Yangon Region were found to have been infected with the COVID-19, according to the Department of Public Health.
    

Samples were taken from 66 suspected patients on September 20 and five of them tested positive for the coronavirus, said an official from the DPH. One of the positive patients was hospitalized at Htantabin Hospital and four positive patients were quarantined at a high school that was diverted into a quarantine center. The virus positive patients were placed under observation since September 16 and arrangements are being made to transfer them to the hospital.
    

In an attempt to contain the spread of the COVID-19, primary contacts in Htantabin Township were put under observation at the hospital, a high school and a middle school that were turned into community-based quarantine centers. So far, 15 coronavirus-positive patients were reported in Htantabin Township.
