Some families from low-lying areas in Chauk, Magway Region became relocated and are taking shelter at temporary relief camps and their relative’s homes due to floodwaters from the Ayeyawady River.
According to the observations at 6 a.m. today, the water level of Ayeyawady River has reached 1422 centimeters, 28 centimeters below its danger mark. Staffers from the General Administration Department, Department of Disaster Management and information and Public Relations Department launched awareness campaigns about the floods for people residing along the Ayeyawady River bank.
