The Department of Disaster Management under the Ministry of Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement provided rice to flood victims from Chauk, Magway Region yesterday.
    

73 people from 18 households from Okhpo Ward and Bagansu Ward became relocated due to the floodwaters from the Ayeyawady River since 15 July. Township Administrator U Kyaw Swe Win, Head of the township police force Police Major Zaw Win, officials from the Department of Disaster Management and departmental staff presented K 2,100 each to the flood victims.
    

Cash assistance supplied to the flood victims by the concerned departments amounted to K 153,300.
