Some social organizations and well-wishers across the country have been donating relief items to the flood victims in Kawkareik Township, Kayin State.

Accompanied by Township Administrator U Hsan Nu and departmental staff, Deputy Speaker of Kayin State Parliament Daw Nang Thuzar Win donated Ks. 182,700 to flood victims from two villages on 17 August. Governmental organizations and social associations also contributed cash and kind to flood victims worth more than Ks. 2 million in the township.—Khin Myo Win (IPRD)
