FMES, Suu Foundation, Total E&P Myanmar (Yadanar CSR Program) sign MoU

The signing ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (M.O.U) for co-operation between Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies (FMES), the Suu Foundation and the TOTAL E&P Myanmar (Yadana CSR Program) was held yesterday in the Function Hall of the Myanmar Engineering Societies Building, Hline University’s Campus, Hline Township, Yangon.

 


The event was attended by Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw, Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Kyaw Myo, permanent secretaries from relevant ministries, patrons of the FMES, chairmen, Central Committee members, members of CEO, departmental heads, officials from the National Road Safety Council, officials from the Suu Foundation Project Office, officials from Total E & P Myanmar, officials from NGOs and INGOs and invited guests.

 


First, Union Minister U Han Zaw delivered an opening remark at the signing ceremony. Then Chairman of the FMES U Aung Myint explained about road and vehicle safety measures, Total E & P Myanmar of Operation, Project & Technical Support Manager U Soe Thaung Myint, the Suu Foundation Project Officer Daw Mya Thinzar Khaine explained about the establishment of the Road Safety Audit and Road Safety Inspection in Myanmar. Next, Chairman of the FMES U Aung Myint, the Suu Foundation Project Officer Daw Mya Thinzar Khaine and the Total E & P Myanmar Deputy Minister for Transport and Communications U Kyaw Myo signed the MoU in the presence of Union Minister U Han Zaw and Deputy Minister U Kyaw Myo. Following that, they posed for group photographs together.

 


Under the guidance of the ministry of Transport and Communications, the Suu Foundation has been carrying out road and vehicle safety projects with the support of the Total E & P Myanmar since 2017. Thus implementation process will be carried out as an act to introduce the Road Safety Audit and Road Safety Inspection system in Myanmar with a view to conducting road safety measures and reducing traffic accidents. Moreover the Federation of Myanmar Engineering Societies will implement the projects under the aegis of Total E & P Myanmar. — MNA (Translated by Win Ko Ko Aung)
