A ceremony to launch rural development projects was held at the meeting room of the General Administration Department in Myinmu Township, Sagaing Region this morning.
    

 

Some rural developmental projects will be carried out by a local social organization named “Shwe Nyar Myay” from Myaung Township with the financial assistance of Denmark and Norway. The philanthropic group has undertaken rural developmental tasks in 36 villages in Myinmu Township so far.
    

 

The organization chose 20 villages in Myinmu Township to perform rural developmental schemes from 2019 to 2012. Ks. 450 million will be spent on implementing rural developmental tasks such as agriculture, livestock, food security and capacity enhancement programmes for women, said Daw Than Htay, Project Manager.
    

 

The event was attended by Lower House MP U Soe San Thet Tun, Regional lawmaker U Thaung Myint, Chairman of the township management committee U Tin Aung Lwin, local authorities and residents.—Aung Soe Pe (Myinmu)
