FORMER Nepali Prime Minister Mr Madhav Kumar Nepal and his delegation, who are currently visiting Myanmar, paid a visit to Htilominlo Pagoda in the Bagan Ancient Cultural Zone yesterday morning.

 

During their visit, an of­ficial from the Department of Archaeology and National Muse­um (Bagan Branch) provided an explanation about the historical background of the pagoda. The pagoda trustees also presented a portrait of the pagoda as a gift.

 

Following this, they proceed­ed to the Lacquerware Tech­nology College (Bagan), where the principal provided an over­view of the college. The former Prime Minister and his delega­tion observed the lacquerware production process by students and visited lacquerware shops, including U Ba Nyein Lacquer­ware Store.

 

In the afternoon, the former Nepali Prime Minister and his delegation departed for Yangon by air. — MNA/KZL
