A new four-lane concrete road was inaugurated in Monywe Village, Monywa Township in Sagaing Region this morning.

First, Union Minister for Construction U Han Zaw and Sagaing Region Chief Minister Dr. Myint Naing delivered opening speeches. Next, CEO of Shwe Taung Highway Co Ltd U Aung Zaw Naing explained matters relating to the new road and the Amyotha Hluttaw Representative U Hla Oo spoke words of thanks. Then the new concrete road was formally opened by the Union minister, chief minister, regional ministers and lawmakers by cutting a ceremonial ribbon and those present took a documentary photo.

The newly-opened concrete road on the Sagaing-Myinmu-Monywa Road section is about 75 miles long.
