Panglong, 7 January

A fresher welcome ceremony for students from Panglong University for the 2024-2025 Academic year was held at the meeting hall of the University in the town of Panglong, Loilem District of southern Shan State this morning.

First of all, the ceremony was opened under permission of Rector of Panglong University. This was followed by the introduction of rector, pro-rectors, heads of the departments and students. Afterwards, Dr Nilar Myint, Rector of the University, extended her greetings. Then, Dr Min Lwin and Dr Khin Lay Yee, Pro-Rectors of Panglong University, delivered welcome speeches.

Next, relevant professors and heads of the Departments of the University welcomed first year students, and introduced academic knowledge for respective specializations. The event was attended by Rector, Pro-Rectors, heads of departments of the University and new students.—Loilem Moe
