A rescue training course against natural disasters was opened at the fire brigade in Nattalin Township, Bago Region this morning.
The training course is the second of its kind in Nattalin Township. Firefighters are to carry out rescue operations when natural disasters such as landslide, floods and strong winds hit the area, said Deputy Township Administrator U Than Tun in his opening speech. He also urged the trainees to translate the lectures given in the course into practice.
The event was attended by the regional lawmaker, the head of township police force, departmental officials and locals. The one -week training course is being attended by 35 trainees.—Tin Myint (Nattalin)
