The Fire Services Management under the Ministry of Home Affairs conducted an earthquake drill at the ground near Shwe Myethman Pagoda, Shwetaung Township, Bago Region on Sunday morning.
At the ceremony, an official from the FSD elaborated on holding disaster drills, explained the aims of the awareness talk, discussed preventative measures and responses if a natural disaster occurs and disseminated knowledge about the risks of earthquakes.
The departmental staff, policemen, firefighters, volunteers, local authorities and residents were also involved in the earthquake drill.—Ko Ko Min (IPRD)
