A ceremony to hand over fund of Emerald Green Project was held at the Monastery in Hwehnaung Village in Hpapu Township, Kayin Sate yesterday.

At the event, an official from the Township Department of Rural Development gave a speech and clarified the purposes of the project and undertaking process under the project.

Afterwards, an official from the township DRD handed over K 4.90 million to members of village emerald green projects committee in Hwehnaung and KalaKaing Villages in the township.

Altogether 73 people - 28 people in agriculture business, 26 in livestock breeding business and 19 in trading business received loans.—Sai Kyaw Wanna, IPRD
