With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, loans for the implementation of emerald green projects were disbursed to members of village emerald green projects committee in Tapaw Village, Indaw Township, Sagaing Region yesterday.
At the event, an official from the township Department of Rural Development gave a speech and clarified the purpose of the project and explained rules and regulations of the emerald green projects to be abode by the rural people.
Afterwards, an official from the township DRD handed over K 41.1 million to members of village emerald green projects committee in Tapaw Village in the township.
Altogether 117 people - 80 people in agriculture business, 36 in livestock breeding business and one who will attend vocational school received loans. The disbursement of loans is the fourth of its kind in the village.
