With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, personnel from the township Department of Fisheries under Ministry of Agriculture, Livestock and Irrigation disbursed loans to implement emerald green projects to members of village emerald green project committee in Ywathikon and Male villages in Kanbalu Township, Sagaing  Region yesterday.

At the event, an official from the township Department of Fisheries clarified the purpose of the project and handed over K 88.6 million to members of village emerald green projects committee in the two Villages.

Altogether 162 people - 17 people in fisheries business, 15 in livestock breeding business and 11 in trading business from Ywathit Village and  41 people in fisheries business, 54 in livestock breeding business and 24 in trading business from Male Village received loans of the projects.—Aung Win Nyein (Kanbalu)
