With the aim of boosting the income of local people and their socio-economic status, the township Department of Rural Development disbursed loans to implement emerald green projects to members of village emerald green project committee amid the outbreak of COVID-19 in Oo Mye Dwin Village in Ngepe Township, Magway Region yesterday. The disbursement of loans is the sixth of its kind in the village.
Staff led by staff officer Wei Lin Maung from the township DRD dispensed K 45.00 to members of village emerald green project committee in the village. Altogether 111 people - 35 people in agriculture business and 76 in livestock breeding business received loans of the projects.
Personnel from the township DRD disbursed loan of the project to members of village emerald green project in accordance with rules released by Ministry of Health and Sports amid outbreak of COVID-19.
Also present on the occasion were the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Soe Myint, the township Administrator U San Tun, staff officer staff from the township DRD and staff from the township Department of Health.—Ma Yu (Ngepe)
