An event to hand over funds of Village Development Project to local people was held at the meeting hall of the Township Department of Rural Development in Putao Township, Kachin State on 20 July.

First, an official from the Township DRD clarified the purposes of the provision of funds of VDP for local people and called on local people to successfully implement the process of the project. 

Afterwards, officials handed over a total of Ks. 110.0 million to members of village development project committee from 11 villages in the Township. Under this project, members of village development project committee in the Township received Ks. 10.0 million each.
