A ceremony to hand over funds of village development project (VDP) to villages in Thandaunggyi Township, Hpa-an District, Kayin State was held at the Township Department of Rural Development this morning.

First, an official from the Township General Administration Department gave remarks and an official from the Township Department of Rural Development also clarified that projects will be undertaken in the seven villages in the township.

Then, officials handed over K 10 million to members of village development committee in seven villages. The developmental works such as construction of concrete roads and hydroelectric projects using solar system will be implemented.
