A ceremony to hand over funds of Village Development Project (VDP) was held at the Rural Development Department in Wetlet, Shwebo District, Sagaing Region yesterday.

First, MP U Myint Thein of Pyithu Hluttaw, MP U Maung Maung Win of regional Hluttaw and MP U Soe Win Tun of regional Hluttaw gave remarks. An official from the department said that those who want to implement the rural developmental works in the village have to discuss with members of the VDP committee and community leaders and to submit the Rural Development Department which will share techniques to meet the targeted standards.

Afterwards, the officials handed over K 10 million to eight villages each. MPs of Hluttaw, departmental personnel and members of the VDP committee were in attendance.
