A ceremony to open inter-major sports competition of Gangaw’s Government Technical Institute in 2018-2019 academic year was held at its football ground yesterday.

First of all, Daw Yin Min Hlaing, Pyi Thu Hluttaw Representative and Principal of Gangaw GTI Daw Aye Nwe San delivered speeches. Also present on the occasion were Pyi Thu Hluttaw Representative, Gangaw District commissioner U Kyaw Min Nyo, invited guests, Principal, teachers and students from Gangaw GTI and players.

Afterwards, an official from Gangaw Sports and Physical Education Department handed over sports items to Daw Aye Nwe San.

The rainy season sports competition covers six kinds of sports; men football, women football, women badminton, men Sepak Takraw, women volleyball and men volleyball. A ceremony to present awards to winner team and best players will be held on 26 July.—District IPRD
