The 2024 Mid-Year Gems Emporium is being held at the Mani­yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw from 18 to 27 November.

 

THE Myanmar Mid-Year Gems Emporium for 2024 saw the suc­cessful sale of 694 jade lots from Group C on its ninth day. These lots were part of a total of 750 jade lots, numbered 3310 to 4059, reserved for local gem trad­ers under a open tender system. Bids for these lots were submitted on the empo­rium’s eighth day, and the sales results were announced the following day.

 

Additionally, jade lots numbered 4060 to 4800, totalling 741, were displayed at designated locations outside the Mani­yadana Jade Hall. Local gem traders had the opportunity to inspect these lots and submit bids into respective tender boxes. The sales results for these lots will be announced on 27 November after the bids are reviewed later today.

 

Union Minister for Natural Resourc­es and Environmental Conservation U Khin Maung Yi, who also chairs the Central Committee on Gems Empori­ums, visited the exhibition area yester­day morning. He observed the ongoing inspection process by traders and left necessary instructions to responsible officials.

 

The 2024 Mid-Year Gems Emporium is being held at the Maniyadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw from 18 to 27 Novem­ber. So far, the event has facilitated the sale of 208 pearl lots, 62 gemstone lots, and 1,823 jade lots from Groups A and B to both local and international traders. Additionally, 1,429 jade lots from Group C, available exclusively for local traders and priced in Myanmar kyats, have also been successfully sold. — MNA/KZL
