UNION Minister for Natural Re-sources and Environmental Con-servation  U  Ohn  Win  attended  the  Gems  Emporium  sold  only  in Kyats held at the Mani Yadana Jade Hall in Nay Pyi Taw yester-day morning. Union Minister U Ohn Win inspected the displayed gems exhibits at the designated places.

 


A  total  of  1,500  gem  mer-chants  have  registered  for  the  Gems  Emporium,  where  260  gem lots and 3,108 jade lots will be put on sale through the open tender system. On the first day of the emporium, jams and jewelry entrepreneurs, including those carrying  out  mining  and  those  producing  finished  products  of  gems  and  jade  with  licenses  and  permission  in  accordance  with  the  rules  and  policies  of  Myanmar’s  Gems  are  allowed  to attend the emporium.

 


MGJEA  General  Manager  U  Than  Zaw  OO  said  that  the  emporium was exhibited for the citizen gems jewelry and entre-preneurs  selling  only  in  Kyat,  and which aimed at getting raw materials  and  earning  money  for  them.  Moreover,  we  show-cased some gems especially that can curve the beads, bracelets, jewelry  and  souvenirs,  and  the  event was being held from 8 to 13 June, 2019.

 


During  the  emporium,  the  gems lots will be put on sale on 10  June;  the  jade  lots  on  11,  12  and  13  June  through  an  open  tender system. Myanmar Gems Emporium has been taking place since  2011,  and  it  is  the  eighth  event in Nay Pyi Taw.—MNA  (Translated  by  Win  Ko  Ko  Aung)
