A course on police legal procedures dedicated on children’s rights and benefits and gender-based violence was opened at the meeting hall of Nyaung Oo District Police yesterday morning.

At the event, Pol. Col Nay Lin, the commander of Nyaung Oo District Police Force urged the trainees to pay attention to the subjects taught in the course, saying that the course was tailored for the trainees to be able to handle children cases and gender-based crimes in accord with laws and police procedures.

Then, trainers dealt with police legal procedures relating to children’s rights and benefits and gender-based crimes.

The two-week course is being attended by 20 trainees of police whose ranks ranging from corporal to police inspector. Ye Win Naing ( Nyang Oo)
