A fossilized sal tree is being put on public display at a museum belonging to the Tree Jade Company in Natogyi Township, Mandalay Region.
The fossilized sal tree was found in Natmauk Township, Magway Region and became the fourth of its kind in the petrified wood museum, according to an official from the museum. Four fossilized sal trees measuring around 4 ft. in circumference and over 100 ft. in length are being exhibited at the museum.
Different assortment of petrified woods with varying size, color, shape and purity, various sizes of well polished petrified woods, petrified wood products and other semiprecious stones, including quartz and crystals, special petrified woods, animal fossils and other rare semiprecious stones are being exhibited at the museum.—Htay Myint Maung
