SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with Under-Secretary-General for UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and Chief of UNOCHA

 

Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and Chief of United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNO­CHA), at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.

 

They frankly exchanged views on political progress in Myanmar, State responsibilities be­ing taken by the Tatmadaw under the Constitu­tion (2008) for occurrences of voting fraud in the 2020 multiparty democratic general elections, endeavours of the State Administration Council to continue strengthening the multiparty dem­ocratic system the people aspire to, restoration of internal peace, requirements for undertaking the development of ethnic areas, spreading mis­information on various situations of Myanmar in the international community, the need for the international community to know actual con­ditions in Myanmar, lesser aid of international organizations including the United Nations for Myanmar in the period when the Covid-19 broke out and storm Mocha hit, and further cooperation in humanitarian aid. — MNA/TTA
