SAC Chairman Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing holds talks with Under-Secretary-General for UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and Chief of UNOCHA
Chairman of the State Administration Council Prime Minister Senior General Min Aung Hlaing received a delegation led by Mr Martin Griffiths, Under-Secretary-General for UN Humanitarian Affairs and Emergency Relief Coordinator and Chief of United Nations Office for the Coordination of Humanitarian Affairs (UNOCHA), at the Credentials Hall of the SAC Chairman Office in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday afternoon.
They frankly exchanged views on political progress in Myanmar, State responsibilities being taken by the Tatmadaw under the Constitution (2008) for occurrences of voting fraud in the 2020 multiparty democratic general elections, endeavours of the State Administration Council to continue strengthening the multiparty democratic system the people aspire to, restoration of internal peace, requirements for undertaking the development of ethnic areas, spreading misinformation on various situations of Myanmar in the international community, the need for the international community to know actual conditions in Myanmar, lesser aid of international organizations including the United Nations for Myanmar in the period when the Covid-19 broke out and storm Mocha hit, and further cooperation in humanitarian aid. — MNA/TTA
