EARLIER in yesterday morning, Union Minister for Industry Dr Charlie Than visited the dried meat businesses and fro­zen meat production units in KanU Model village, Meiktila Township.

 

In meeting with businesspersons, he expressed the govern­ment’s ongoing efforts to support the devel­opment of MSMEs. He encouraged the continu­ous improvement of pro­duction processes and urged business owners to openly present any challenges they may face, so that collaborative solutions can be found. He underscored the need to ensure that food products remain aligned with health regulations and that businesses are able to expand their op­erations effectively.

 

The Union Minister on 11 January visited the Research Branch (Py­inOoLwin) in Mandalay Region, where he ob­served the ongoing efforts to establish a laboratory capable of testing waste water from MSME food and manufacturing busi­nesses. During the visit, he emphasized the impor­tance of ensuring that the food products produced align with health stand­ards.

 

The Union Minister instructed that the labo­ratory should comply with good laboratory practice (GLP) standards. He also urged that the necessary equipment be provided in a timely manner to sup­port the growth and de­velopment of MSMEs. He emphasized that the labo­ratory should assist in the advancement of MSMEs while maintaining high standards. — MNA/KZL
