Accompanied by department officials, Chief Minister of Bago Region U Win Thein inspected preparations being made to turn a six-storey building belonging to the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department into a quarantine facility for suspected patients for coronavirus in Bago City yesterday.
The chief minister and his party heard reports on necessary preparations for COVID-19 suspected patients and urgent requirements presented by an official from the Livestock Breeding and Veterinary Department and Medical Superintendent Dr Yang Maung. The chief minister urged concerned officials to fulfill the requirements and looked into progress for quarantine structure.
The office is located on the outskirts of Bago City; the structure is suitable for turning into a quarantine facility. Arrangements are being made by local officials to accept suspected patients for possible coronavirus at the new facility.—Tin Soe (Bago)
