A stake-driving ceremony for construction of a four-storey building by the Department of Urban and Housing Development (DUHD) in the fiscal year 2019-2020 was held at the construction site in Kyaunggon Township, Ayeyawady Region this morning.

Director of the DUHD U Nay Min Htet, the Pyithu Hluttaw Representative U Thein Tun, Regional Lawmaker U Khin Maung Zaw, Township Administrator U Zaw Myo Win, Commander of the township police force Police Major Win Shwe, officials from the Department of Agriculture Land Management and Statistics and the Department of Livestock Breeding and Veterinary and Chairman of the township development committee U Khin Aung Swe drove the stakes at designated places and sprinkled scented water on it.

The reinforced concrete facility will measure 61 ft. in length and 51 ft. in width and will be built by a private construction company.—Win Kyaing (IPRD)
