DEPUTY Minister for Health Dr Aye Tun inspected the clinic and preventive measures for communicable diseases for the athletes who are at dormito­ries to participate in the Fifth National Sports Festival in Nay Pyi Taw yesterday.

 

The deputy minister ob­served the establishment of the clinic, subcommittee office on health, and conditions to open a traditional medicine clinic, and instructed to pre­pare ambulances to transfer patients where necessary and report certain outbreaks of dis­eases promptly.

 

He then checked the pre­ventive measures for diseases at dormitories such as adding chlorine into water tanks, and education programmes on four cleans, and provided instruc­tions to meet hygiene stand­ards when preparing food.

 

Healthcare teams were organized including medics from the Ministry of Health, Tatmadaw Medical Corps, and Myanmar Red Cross Society to provide healthcare services during the sports festival, and the medical team comprising specialists will be also mobi­lized. Moreover, systematic ar­rangements are made to deter drug use by athletes. — MNA/ KTZH
