A high school in Lanmandaw Township, Yangon Region was turned into a quarantine center to house the suspected patients and those who had close contact with the coronavirus-positive patients amid a surge in locally-transmitted cases of the deadly virus.
    

The preparation to divert the school into a quarantine center is being undertaken under the supervision of the township COVID-19 control and emergency response committee. No.1 Basic Education High School in Ward-9 was diverted into a quarantine center under the guidance of the Ministry of Health and Sports. 18 people were placed under observation at the center as of 7 p.m. on September 21 and the facility is expected to accept up to 50 people.

Food and healthcare services are also provided to the suspected patients under the guidance of the Department of Public Health.
