THE All Myanmar Tamil Hin­du Foundation (Central) and the All Myanmar Hindu Priest Association (Central) jointly organized the Special Training Certificate Presentation Cere­mony for Hindu Pujaris, which was held at 10 am yesterday at the Indian Culture Centre on Shwebontha Road, Pabedan Township, Yangon.

Indian Ambassador to My­anmar Mr Abhay Thakur, an Indian priest and officials first lit the auspicious lamp.

Chairman U Maung My­int of the All Myanmar Hindu Priest Association then de­livered a welcoming speech, followed by speeches from the Indian ambassador, an Indian priest, President U Tin Myint of the Hindu Religious (Central) Federation, General Secretary U Chit Win of the All Myanmar Tamil Hindu Foundation, and President U Maung Maung of the Thanan­ta Dhamma Palaka (Hindu) Federation.

Afterwards, the Indian ambassador, an Indian priest, and officials presented the trainees with their certificates of completion, and the secre­tary of the All Myanmar Hindu Priest Association (Central) delivered a vote of thanks.

The course was held from 5 February to 5 March, and 50 participants attended. — MNA/TH
