Local police seized two homemade guns and bullets from a man in Myawady Township, a border town in Kayin State, according to the Ministry of Home Affairs.


The local police from Thingan Nyinaung police station received a tip that a man armed with handmade guns was making threats to people at about 11 p.m. on 16 November. Policemen rushed to the scene where they found a man identified as Sai Roe Sae (aka) Saw Sai Khant Naung, 44 years old from Maepale Village, Myawady Township and confiscated two homemade guns and six bullets from him.


The man is being questioned over possession of weapons in accordance with the law by the local police.—MOHA
