Houses and toilets are being constructed in IDP camp in Mohnyin Township, Kachin State, according to U Larhain, director from Lweyanbwunlu community development association.

A total of 19 houses and 20 toilets will be on a plot measuring 40 feet long and 50 feet wide.

“The construction of lodges started on 2 March, and five houses are now being built” said U Myo Thein, in-charge of the construction.

The project must be completed in 45 days in which a house costs K 4.5 million and a toilet costs K 205,000.

Twenty households in Mantong Township, northern Shan State to Mohnyin Township, Kachin State were displaced at the camp in early 2017 for security reason.
