A collective tree-planting ceremony will be held in Hsinbyukyun Township, Magway Region on 15 June in conjunction with a literary talk, according to the event organizers.

A handing over ceremony of saplings by the Forest Department is scheduled to take place at the Myoma grounds in Hsinbyukyun Township at 7 a.m. on 15 June in order to grow the shady trees in the area. Then the shady trees will be planted in downtown area of the town.

In the evening, cartoonist Aw Pi Kyel and writer Maung Tin Thit will give talks under the title of “Let’s plant trees to conserve the environment” during a literary talk in the compound of the basic education high school.—Soe Moe Thu
