A ceremony to issue identity cards (ID) to local people was held at the Dhamayone in Ward-15 in South Okkalapa Township, Yangon Region on 29 February.

The collective granting of ID cards to local people was jointly conducted by Hluttaw Representatives in the township, the township General Administration Department and the township Department of Immigration and Population.

Officials from the township Department of Immigration and Population and GAD issued identity cards to 50 local people including people over ten years old and over 18 years old, people who changed their ID cards and who lost their ID cards free of charge in the township.—Nay Htet Aung
