With the guidance of Mon State Government, a ceremony to issue identity cards (ID) to local people in Yinnyein (South) village in Paung Township was held at the congregation hall of the village this morning.

The collective granting of ID cards to local people was jointly conducted by the Township Department of Immigration and Population and MPs of Hluttaw under the Thitsar Project. 

At the ceremony, Mon State Chief Minister Dr. Aye Zan gave opening remarks. Next, the State Chief Minister, State Ministers and officials from the Immigration and Population Department issued identity cards to a total of 1,119 local residents in the eight village-tracts in the township.
