SAC Member Deputy Prime Minister Union Minister for Transport and Communications General Mya Tun Oo addressed the second coordination meeting of the Industrial Development Commission (IDC) yesterday.

 

At the meeting, the Depu­ty Prime Minister, who is also the Commission Chairman, dis­cussed the proper cooperation of commission members in imple­menting 16 objectives of the com­mission released by SAC, plans to draft work operation, timetable, implementation, primary meas­urement index and review on the fixed index.

 

He also emphasized the mat­ters related to proper support to local industrial entrepreneurs to produce profitable products, quick access to raw materials, energy, finance, human resources and technologies for import sub­stitute industrial businesses, and the duties of the commission — to promote local manufacturing industry, to ensure domestic con­sumption, to export, to produce quality and value-added products and to make efforts for sustaina­bility of the State industrial sector.

 

The attendees discussed the ongoing work plans, factories to implement agro-based industrial businesses and the condition of State-owned industries and pri­vate industries.
