The Union Minister for Social Welfare, Relief and Resettlement held a virtual meeting with the chief minister of Rakhine State to hand over cash and kind for the internally displaced persons (IDPs) in Rakhine State at a rate of K 40000 per person on August 21.
    

Under the Covid-19 Economic Relief Plan (CERP), officials from the Department of Disaster Management under the ministry provided over K 82 million for 2,051 families sheltering at nine temporary relief camps in Buthidaung and Maungdaw Township through members of the district management committee.
    

Similar contributions would reportedly be supplied to the IDPs in Sittwe, MraukU and Kyaukphyu District.
