Altogether 60 illegal migrant workers—53 men and 7 women, who were without proper documents were handed over by Thai authorities to their Myanmar counterparts at the border town of Kawthoung, Taninthayi Region yesterday.
Also present on the occasion were personnel from Kawthoung District General Administration Department, the Labor, immigration and population Department, the Anti-human Trafficking Police Force and the Disaster Management Department and others.
The returnee workers are sent to their places of origin after being provided with health care.— Kyaw Soe (Kawthoung)
