Illegal sawn teaks were seized in Htilin Township, Gangaw District, Magway Region on 11 September.

A combined team comprising personnel from Htilin Forest Department, Police members from Htilin Police Station and locals searched a six-wheel truck car on Gangaw-Htilin Road near Byadeikgon in Htilin Township in Gangaw District, Magway Region this evening and seized 205 sawn teaks weighing 1.3524 tons worth K 466578 and two sawn Tamalan weighing 0.0716 worth K 24702.

Action is being taken against those who got involved in the illegal business under the forest law, according to the Township Forest Department.—Aung Si, IPRD
