Illegal sawn timbers were seized in the town of Ye-U, Sagaing region yesterday morning.

Acting on information received, local police officers intercepted a car on Ye-U-Shwebo road in the town of Ye-U. The police officers seized 44 illegal sawn timbers, weighing 0.44 tons, hidden inside the car. The police also found that the car was an unregistered one.

Local police officers brought charges against Myat Ko, the driver of the car, according to Ye-U police station.—Moe Thauk ( Shwebo)
