Personnel from the township Forest Department seized unattended teak logs weighing 2.56 tons in Mese Township, Kayah State on 22 June.


Personnel led by staff officer U Kyaw Myat Zaw from the Township Forest Department and police members led by police sub-inspector Zaw Moe Win from Mese Myoma Police Station combed the forest near Pantin Village in Mese Township, and seized eight illegal teak logs weighing 2.56 tons in the forest.


The seized teak logs were handed over to the township Forest Department. Action is being taken against those who got involved in the illegal business under the forest law.
