Medical workers from the Township Department of Public Health under Ministry of Health began the second round of vaccination campaign to prevent women from cervical cancer and human papillomavirus (HPV) at the designated vaccination sites in Thegon Township, Pyay District in Bago Region on 10 May.

 

The vaccination campaign targeted girls between nine and ten years old who have been received their first dose of the vaccine in 2020. Medical workers vaccinated a total of 200 girls between nine and ten years old including 67 girls vaccinated at Patigon vaccination site, 43 girls vaccinated at Nyaungwan vaccination site, 41 girls vaccinated at Hngedawmyi vaccination site, 22 girls vaccinated at Yetashi vaccination site, 15 girls injected at Kyogon vaccination site and 15 girls vaccinated at Kangyi vaccination site in the Township on 10 May, according to the Township Department of Health.—Wint Nanda Htay
