Medical workers from the Township Department of Public Health under Ministry of Health began the first round of vaccination campaign to prevent women from cervical cancer and Japanese encephalitis at the B.E.P.S. in Nyun Sai Village in Namhsan Township, the Palaung Self-Administered Zone, Shan State this morning.
At the event, medical workers vaccinated girls between nine and ten years old with human papillomavirus vaccine and children aged five to nine in collaboration with volunteers in line with COVID-19 health guidelines.
Under this vaccination program, a total of 14 girls were given human papillomavirus vaccine and a total of 54 children aged five to nine were given Japanese encephalitis vaccine, according to the Township Department of Public Health.—Namhsan IPRD
